Is Ejarmate a licensed broker?
No. Ejarmate is a roommate matching platform in a limited pilot. We do not provide brokerage services or handle payments. You and your co-renter deal with the landlord directly.
Is Ejarmate free to use?
Yes. Roommate matching is free during the pilot phase.
How do you verify users?
Everyone verifies their email address with a code, adds a WhatsApp number, and completes a lifestyle compatibility quiz. We don't check identity yet, so meet in person before you commit.
Can men and women match with each other?
No. Matching is always same-gender: men are matched only with men, and women only with women. There is no setting to change this.
Can expats use Ejarmate?
Yes. Ejarmate is for anyone looking for shared housing in Saudi Arabia.
How do roommates split rent and bills?
Ejarmate shows each roommate's estimated share of the rent and bills. Once you match, you and your co-renter agree on your payment schedule and pay the landlord directly.
